JLG Telehandlers Oklahoma
John L. Grove decided to stop working after spending many years working together with his brother to establish their crane manufacturing company into a global leader. John and his wife Cora celebrated their retirement by setting out on a cross-country journey using their recreational vehicle. After that particular trip, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the world's top producer of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling machines.
Throughout the R.V. journey, John spent much of the time talking to prior business associates that the Groves stopped to visit along their trip. Sadly, while they were visiting the Hoover Dam, 2 employees were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. During subsequent conversations, John saw a huge untapped market for a machine which can safely and quickly hoist people into the air to be able to perform maintenance and construction work.
John decided to take action when John and his wife returned from the journey. He formed a partnership with two close friends when they purchased a small metal manufacturing business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. During 1970, with an initial crew of 20 employees, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Many parts of the basic design elements of that original equipment are still being integrated into the current product
Ever since John L. Grove first drove back into town from his cross-country journey, the company has come a very long way. They have significantly grown since their first aerial work platform initially launched on the marketplace. Even these days, JLG continues to expand into additional global markets. Numerous innovative machines are made to help clients work safer and be more productive.
JLG has remained devoted to being the leader in the industry. The business takes operator comfort into consideration really seriously. They attempt to deliver in performance, along with safety and overall comfort so that the operator can be as effective as possible.
