Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift Oklahoma

Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift Oklahoma

There are 7 various classifications of forklifts as determined by the Industrial Truck Association or ITA. These classifications are divided into the type of work setting; smooth or rough surfaces, indoors, outdoors and narrow aisle; by the type of engine; whether the operator is standing or sitting down; and finally the characteristics of the equipment, regarding the maximum grade and tire type. Several of the categories are further sub-divided by operating characteristics. Below are the following classifications of forklifts:

Category 1 Forklifts: are considered to be electric motor trucks with air filled or pneumatic tires or cushion tires. The Class 1 lift trucks also consist of 4 lift codes, or subcategories that are:

Lift Code 1: Counterbalanced, stand up rider models.
Lift Code 4: Sit down, 3-Wheel electric.
Lift Code 5: Counterbalanced rider, cushion tire sit down tires.
Lift Code 6: This grouping included pneumatic tire units, counterbalanced rider, and sit-down rider units.

Class 2 Forklifts: Class 2 lift trucks consist of narrow aisle electric trucks with solid tires.
Category 3 Forklifts: The class 3 lift truck would include all hand/rider trucks electric and fuel based with solid tires.
Category 4 Forklifts: Class 4 forklifts are the Internal Combustion or IC models. These are sit down rider units with cushion tires. Generally, they are suitable for indoor use and on hard surfaces.
Category 5 Forklifts: IC sit down rider forklifts equipped with pneumatic tires make up Class 5 forklifts. Normally, these models are great for working areas with significant inclines or on rough surfaces outside.
Class 6 Forklifts: The Class 6 lift trucks are either internal combustion powered or electric units. These ride-on models have the capability to tow at least 1000 lbs. This particular class is engineered and designed to tow loads rather than lift it.
Class 7 Forklifts: Class 7 just included rough terrain models with pneumatic tires. The Category 7 forklifts are almost exclusively utilized outdoors and powered by diesel engines.

The different classes of lift trucks help to keep them separated and organized. Various kinds of working atmospheres rely on various categories in order to get their work completed. Forklifts are rather specific in their lifting and loading capacities. Their different kinds of engines and tires are made for specific applications. In order to pick the best forklift to suit all your needs and to fulfill your tasks, do some research to know precisely what you would need from your particular unit. By talking to a few reputable dealers and taking time to explore all your choices, you can pick the appropriate equipment.
