Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in warehouse and shipping operations. Also known as pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used in order to transport supplies and products around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks that are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump which raises the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one individual.
To prevent loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks must always be operated carefully. Equipment should be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make sure that the handle can turn smoothly. The pallet must be stacked carefully in order to ensure that nothing would fall off during transportation.
To be able to release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever situated on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be centered to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is truly not safe to push the pallet in front of you since the thrust can cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
