The lift truck usage all over the globe has grown in insurmountable measures when it comes to the manufacturing and warehousing industries. In the past decades, the equipment has really grown and the designs have changed so there are a lot of modern designs and a variety of trucks to meet each and every particular application. The forklift is offered in a wide array of power types such as gas powered, diesel, electric, diesel and liquid propane or LP units. The load capacities of these units vary greatly since there are a lot of manufacturers building and designing them. For instance, some models could reach a height of over 10,000 kg or over 3000.

The forklift truck features comprise mast and axles, an overhead guard, the counterweight, and the truck frame to which the base of the power source and all aforementioned things are connected. On the rear side there is a counterweight connected to the truck. This counterweight counterbalances the load which is being carried so as to keep the equipment stable.

The machines movements are dictated by the operator who sits in the cab. The overhead feature likely consists of a metal roof made to protect the operator from falling things. Hydraulic tilt cylinders mounted to the frame and the mast. These tilts pivot the mast in order to engage the load. The mast is a vertical assembly which raises and lowers the load with the interlocking rails to provide lateral stability.

A lot of warehouses and businesses use forklifts everyday to raise and move cargo and supplies. Today, there are many different used and brand new forklifts available in the market at competitive prices. Those who depend on transportation and occasional lifting can utilize rental lift trucks as they are available also.
