Change an LPG Cylinder
There are various kinds of sources that could power forklifts. They could run using gasoline, LP gas or liquid propane, battery or diesel. LP is a clean burning fuel ideal for many uses. There are some facilities that have large liquid propane supplies on site. This enables forklifts to be refueled anytime they require. In other places, the facility will have spare LP cylinders that could be changed out when the machine must be refueled.
When changing out an LP cylinder, you must truly be careful in order to avoid possible serious injuries. Like for example: be sure to wear the correct safety equipment such as heavy gloves, goggles or safety glasses. Make certain that you turned off the ignition of the forklift before changing out the tank. Next, close the cylinder valve by turning it until it is closed securely. Utilize your hand to loosen the hose connection to the tank. Remember that it would turn in the opposite direction of a normal connection and never use any kind of wrench or a metal tool on these connections. They are meant to be tightened by hand only.
