The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been equipped with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight places during construction and industrial jobs. They are also recognized for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 model comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, which is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were inaccessible by traditional jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature enables up and over reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system which allows for valuable time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing both production and effectiveness.
