Combilift is a company which was first started by engineers Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar. They had over 40 years of engineering experience between them when they first established the company during 1998 within Monaghan, Ireland. In only more than a decade, Combilift became a leader in the worldwide long-load handling market, providing equipment to over 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted international network of distributors that have helped expand distribution into numerous markets around the world and using their extensive knowledge and experience, McVicar and Moffett have built machinery which are in high demand and had sold 10,000 models by mid 2009.
Beneath is a summary of some of the Combilift models.
There are a range of mast options for the C-Series Combilifts, while these equipment offer up to nine meters and lift capacities that top out at 25,000 kilograms. Available engines are in electric or battery, LPG or gas and diesel and the C-Series Combilifts can work in guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
The Combilift Straddle Carriers can transport fully loaded containers that can weigh as much as 35 tons. These loads could be transported all around a facility or work site and the Combilift Straddle Carrier can carry fully loaded containers where required, whether it be from the trailer to the ground, from the ground to the trailer, or from trailer to trailer. These kinds of machines are an efficient, cost effective solution for many haulage, shipping, and distribution businesses, even those with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series side-loaders are machines capable of driving in four directions because of its multi-directional steering. This all-wheel drive, hydrostatic forklift can help businesses in many ways, one of which is to allow facilities to have narrower aisles. It also allows the capability to bulk or block stack by driving forward. This highly manoeuvrable truck is often found to be a superior option compared to numerous conventional sit-down sideloaders because of the many added features and capabilities.
