CareLift Equipment has been engineering and building quality rough terrain forklifts since the year 1962. Each and every day the company strives to help all their customers reach their objectives and deliver value since they know the bottom line is performance and dependability.
Boom lifts come in 2 general types, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. Both these models are usually powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the great alternative for jobs which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator is able to steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile equipment. These units are available in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as diesel, propane or gas configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift models perform jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects in the work environment.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is required before using boom lifts in order to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for jobs requiring many man power to be completed in much less time. These machinery have greatly increased production and have revolutionized the material handling business.
