Liebherr Construction Cranes
During 1949, the Liebherr family business was established by Hans Liebherr. His first claim to fame was the success of his affordable and easy-to-assemble mobile tower crane. It was upon this invention that the company's foundation flourished under. These days, Liebherr has grown to become among the world's leading manufacturers of construction machinery. The company has also gained the reputation of being the acknowledged supplier of user-oriented technically innovative products and services in different fields. The company has presently become a "Group" working in every continent with over 130 companies and more than 35,000 workers all over the world.
The Liebherr Group has been divided into different company units in order to guarantee a manageable operating size. These separate units operate independently. This set up enables the business the ability to stay in tune with global competition and be flexible to market signals. What's more, having so many individual company units additionally ensures customer proximity and keeps customer service running at an optimum level.
The divisional control companies deal with the production for the individual product segments and the operative management of the sales companies. The Liebherr Group currently has 10 different product divisions.
Liebherr Group's holding company is Liebherr-International AG. Liebherr-International AG is located within Bulle, Switzerland and is operating by members of the Liebherr family. Presently, the family business is being managed by Dr. H.C. Willi Liebherr and his sister Dr. H.C. Isolde Liebherr in the second generation. Since the year 2012, some of the active individual divisions have been represented by members of the family in the 3rd generation such as: Jan Liebherr, Sophie Albrecht, Patricia Ruf and Stefanie Wohlfarth. These family members have been working hard together to help set up the family business' course in the future. They are staying on top of large-scale industrial projects and residential buildings all around the world.
Hans Liebherr started to build his company during the year 1949, in a tiny town called Kirchdorf within southern Germany. Kirchdorf, currently supports amongst Liebherr's 20 manufacturing locations. They employ over 1400 people in that specific workforce and can average an annual output of around 2800 wheeled excavators. The company has enjoyed diversity and immense growth since it first started. The Liebherr Group continues to remain devoted to making and implementing innovative designs. They have earned a successful and positive place within the material handling industry.
